Meet Marissa

Integrative Leadership Coach and Consultant

Workers all around the world are experiencing burnout more than ever before. After over 25 years in the corporate and education workforce, the through-line of burnout prevention for Marissa is her mindfulness practices.

Marissa was first exposed to mindfulness by taking yoga and meditation classes from Cator Shachoy in San Francisco. Then, she trained as a yoga instructor under Suddha Weixler in Chicago in 2012. She has also completed mindfulness meditation courses from Tergar Institute. Additionally, she has studied pilates, tai chi, and energy medicine.

Several friends and former colleagues began to share their burnout experiences with Marissa, evoking compassion. Nobody likes to see their friends experiencing harm. What could she do? Upon further reflection, she realized sharing the mindfulness techniques she cultivated could help.

The response has been tremendous. Marissa's offerings are giving people hope that they can cope with life's increased stressors, and relief from the mental and emotional exhaustion many feel daily.

And, all it takes is a few minutes of one's day...
